Join us for this informative fundraiser luncheon, during which best-selling author Lyndsay Green will present findings from her latest book “The Perfect Home for a Long Life”. The book helps people design their own future by providing creative and concrete examples of the myriad ways they can organize their living arrangements to support lives of quality and fulfillment. The book looks at down-sizing, modifying one’s home, and retirement communities, as well as innovative approaches such as cohousing, shared housing, supportive housing, and variations on all these themes.

Goward House, built in 1908, is a heritage house
situated in the Cadboro Bay area. In 1991 Goward House opened as an activity centre for adults. It is operated
by the non-profit Goward House Society, in conjunction with a full-time co-ordinator and many enthusiastic
Goward House is a place where adults come together to meet friends, keep fit, learn new skills and refresh old ones in a warm and friendly environment. All members are encouraged to participate in the daily life of Goward House and to make it their own. If you are interested in volunteering, we have many opportunities. We welcome new members and encourage you to drop by and try out an activity before joining Goward House. While you are here, why not enjoy lunch or a cup of coffee in our tea room?
Goward House is also a well known arts venue in Victoria featuring month-long art exhibitions by emerging and established artists.
The mission of Goward House is to provide a vibrant activity centre combining fellowship with social, educational, and special interest programs for Greater Victoria residents aged 50 and over.
