Bridge

One table, two tables, three tables, MORE.  Bridge is one of the most popular activities at Goward House..............Tuesday Men's Duplicate, Wednesday Mixed Duplicate, Thursday morning Drop In, Thursday Upstairs Bridge, Friday Afternoon Drop In............to name a few.

If Bridge is your passion you are welcome to inquire about being included in one or more of these groups.

There are also private foursome and two tables.  As a member you may prefer to set up your own table or tables.  A quiet spot can almost always be found for you to play.  Your friends may come twice as guests then take out a membership.

A special thank you to ALL members, bridge players or not, who faithfully brought in bar codes from ISLAND FARMS products during 2007.  Monies raised from this program purchased FIVE new bridge tables.

Mah Jong Club

The Mah Jong Club has been going for over 10 years. Beginning instruction was given by the “Indomitable” Hilda Hale, a real expert. At present we have about a dozen members – with usually 2 tables each week.

If you can play gin rummy, you can play mah jong – and leave the counting to experienced players. You don’t play with partners, so no recriminations. We have tea at half-time and lively conversations (also during the heading). Half the time we don’t add up the score - - it’s the joy of playing that counts!

Pool Room

We are always looking for new players and those who would like to learn Billiards, Pool, or Snooker. So come along. You will be welcomed. It is “drop in” anytime, except Thursday afternoons, and $2.00 per person.
