Artistic expression has always been a part of Lois' life. For many years she was involved in community theatre where she was active in all aspects, from prop and set building to acting and musical direction. Now that she has returned to BC, her creative interests are centered around painting. Her earlier canvases were mostly of landscapes and still life. Recently, her explorations have moved toward the abstract. She loves responding to the push and pull of colour and of form as each painting evolves. She takes workshops led by artists who inspire her, as well as courses at the Vancouver Island School of Art.
