Duet in Colour & Movement

Vicki Stewart and her paintings

Vicki Stewart started her artist's journey in 1995 with her first sketching class. Vicki attended the Victoria College of Art allowing her to experience a number of facets for artistic expression. She has developed a passion for colour, movement, and form through her learning experiences with artists such as Leslie Redhead, Tom Lynch, Lenaya Chrystall, Ruth Steinfatt, and Jill Slagboom.

Today Vicki works in watercolour, acrylic, and mixed media. She finds the transparency and clarity of watercolour especially exciting. Inspiration for her work comes from her extensive travels, nature's ever changing art exhibits, and her spiritual journey.

Vicki's paintings have appeared in the Victoria College of Art student show, the 'For Love of Africa' show in Victoria, the Spiral Cafe in Victoria, and the 2010 Sidney Peninsula Arts and Crafts Fine Arts Show.

Vicki was born and grew up in Prince George. She made Victoria her home in 1975 where she currently lives with her husband Kim.
