In 1986 I began painting with passion in both watercolours and acrylics. I had a teaching background in Math and English and a thriving, thirty year stained glass career.

Then like a musician playing many instruments, I explored many styles and subjects, painting: botanicals, heritage gardens, landscapes, seascapes, underwater scenes, architectural lifts, house portraits, monotypes with embellishments, abstracts, and close-ups of the human form - dancers and performers.

When I had more time, I became a member of the Federation of Canadian Artist and the Island Illustrators. I have exhibited in the Sooke and the Sidney Fine Arts Shows, demonstrated in many Moss-Street Paint-Ins and the Glendale Gardens. In 2004 I decorated one of the eight foot Orcas sculptures for charity.

I have shown at Coast Collective, Goward House and Eclectic Galleries, participated in every Oak Bay Studio Tour and Bowker Creek Brush-Up, which I coordinated for the first two years. I am happy to add to our community by being the treasurer of and founding member of the Oak Bay Community Artists Society and the coordinator for the Oak Bay municipal hall shows.

One other passion of mine is painting with our three granddaughters every chance I get.
