Amy is an Artist specializing in Oil and Acrylic Paintings. She has been a member of leading Art Associations in Ontario for years and recently in British Columbia, Canada. Amy’s background is from Spain and she grew-up in South America. She has been involved with, and has studied, art for many years in different forms, from painting, music to art history and communications. She came to Canada while in her teens and subsequently obtained a BA from the University of Toronto. She has concentrated on painting seriously for the last fourteen years and participates continuously in official workshops in oil, acrylic, mixed media and watercolours to enhance her technique. She has also organized training programs covering multiple art subjects with leading artists and as Program Coordinator for a very dynamic group’s yearly Art Shows. Amy’s love of nature has been the main source of inspiration for her paintings. In her work she focuses on capturing the essence of nature, the vibrant colours, the contrasts of light and deep shadows and the energy that radiates from within, bringing forth new themes and creations on a regular basis. She exhibits regularly in Art Shows and her paintings form part of private collections in Canada, the USA and other countries internationally.
