Welcome to my world!! I have been painting for about 35 years, give or take a few. In the beginning I went to Art School for 3 years and finished with a major in Painting and a minor in Applied Design. After graduation I continued on with working in art stores and painting part time then on to a family, raising 2 children with my husband Steve who is also an artist. That was very much full time with painting very part time. Finally I am working part time and painting full time!!
  I'm not good at expressing in words why I paint. It seems to be something I just need to do. I do prefer the term painter over artist. It feels more comfortable to me because painting is actually what I love to do. My subject matter leans toward nature and the natural beauty within it. I love expressing moods and feelings with nature's colours and shapes, hoping they bring a smile, a feeling of calm, or even joy to those who view them. I always want to leave a positive impression.
