The title “Bird’s Tales” explores a Russian saying: “Magpie has brought news on its tail”, referring to any news and gossip. Every painting in this show is telling a story from Aliza's experiences that involve birds. This exhibition will tell tales brought to you on the tails of many types of birds; funny birds, curious birds, beautiful birds, and mythological birds. The show will include a collection of Aliza’s art work created in the last 2 years since Aliza’s move to Vancouver Island. Aliza Souleyeva-Alexander is a Canadian artist originally from Kazakhstan. Aliza graduated with master’s degree from Kazakh State Arts Academy in 2000. Since 2000 Aliza’s art has been displayed in Kazakhstan, Canada, and India.
