As a painter, all I can do is create what moves me. This Island seems to hold me and give me the feeling of safety when I need a reminder of my roots and ancestry. Although my father is not Native, he is responsible for the depth of emotion I portray in my work. He taught me to look deeper, past the negative and only paint the positive. Proof once again, that there is beauty in Unity of the races.
