Brenda Cooke

While I have always been interested in art, the opportunity to practice it has not always been possible. I did oil painting while living in the Shuswap which rekindled enthusiasm. There was then another hiatus with early marriage and motherhood years. I was very fortunate to then start classes with the late Frank Bass and he continued to be my mentor until his passing in 1990. Since then I have branched into watercolour and occasionally acrylics and gouache. A specialty in English country scenes and village buildings has developed and has been very rewarding.

Being a member and president of the Cedar Hill Art Club Society, I am enjoying meeting outstanding artists for our demos and am encouraging new ideas and high quality work from our members.
