Art has long been a primary focus in my life. After an enjoyable teaching career, I can now concentrate on creating artwork of my own. I have now spent the last several years working toward producing a credible body of work using acrylic paints as my preferred medium. What I hope to achieve is to present a specific moment in time, concentrating on strong definitions, depth and colour relationships. My aim is to depict subject matter realistically, yet retain the look and feel of a painting. Although land and seascapes are my main subjects, anything can serve as the theme of a painting. I find painting to be highly addictive and extremely rewarding, even on a ‘bad’ day! It is my hope to continue to ‘waste space beautifully’.
